The essence of our lives is woven into our weaknesses, vulnerability, complexities, and strengths. It doesn’t matter what social, economic, cultural, ethnicities, race, or assigned or chosen gender we ascribe to. Our commonality is strikingly clear; we all yearned for the basic desires of being acknowledged, having the freedom to thrive, love and be loved, and being engaged in life as we believed we should. All this isn’t rocket science; it’s being human! I endeavor to be a part of this condition, yes! And doing so effectively through candor, sensitivity, and not being afraid to stand in my truth, even if it means standing alone. Marjorie Delores
