The medical personnel kept her in the hospital for the better part of the day for observation. There were extensive soft tissue damage and a back injury, none of which was life-threatening. At day’s end, they discharged her with medications and instructions to be seen by her private physician. The address she used at the hospital was Lucy’s because her driver’s license reflected it. However, she no longer lived there.
She had planned on leaving the state, concluding that it was time to move on with her life, which factored into her not changing her driver’s license address. Instead, she planned to travel up north, where more financial opportunities were readily available. But with Dimitris back in her life, she decided to give them another try.
There were valid concerns about his ability to remain reliable and stable, primarily because of his gambling habits. Nevertheless, Rebekah decided to make the best of their friendship and companionship, rekindling their relationship.
